Master's in Special Education with a Focus on Teaching Students with Vision Impairment

This program is for individuals interested in a Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on Visual Impairments. The focus on VI is accomplished by using your electives to take course included in the VI Licensure program. The Master's degree does not include a license or endorsement to teach students with visual impairments.

Requirements

  • EDSE 501 Intro. to Special Education (3 cr.)
  • EDSE 503**** Language Develop. & Reading (3 cr.)
  • EDSE 662 Consultation & Collaboration (3 cr.)
  • 13 credits of electives (any EDSE course included in the VI licensure program)
  • EDSE 517 Computer Apps for Special Populations (3 cr.)
  • EDSE 590 Special Education Research (3 cr.)

****EDSE 503: Students who have official, passing VRA scores on file with the university may request that EDSE 503 be waived.
