School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism - George Mason University

The School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism (SRHT) offers exciting, career-ready majors in dynamic fields such as athletic training, tourism and events management, health and physical education, kinesiology, sport management, and recreation management. SRHT features renowned faculty, cutting-edge research, six laboratories and centers, and a diverse student body of more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students each year. Each major requires one or more internship or clinical experiences, ensuring that students graduate not just with a transcript but with a resume that demonstrates their professional aptitude and skills.

Description:

Work on research proposal that forms basis for doctoral dissertation, under guidance of dissertation chair and doctoral committee. Notes: May be repeated, but no more than 6 credits of EDUC 998 may satisfy doctoral degree requirements. Offered by Graduate School of Education. May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 12 credits.
Recommended Prerequisite: Admission to candidacy in the PhD program, successful completion of the doctoral qualifying exam, and EDRS 810, 811, and 812 or their equivalents.
Registration Restrictions:

Enrollment is limited to students with a major in Education.

Enrollment limited to students in a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
