NBPTS Options at George Mason

Mason's College of Education and Human Services (CEHD) has maintained a long-standing partnership with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). This partnership rests on the belief that NBPTS' programs represent the highest quality professional development experiences for classroom teachers on a national level. A mission of the Division of Advanced Professional Teacher Development and International Education (APTDIE) in the CEHD is also to provide professional development to ensure that the nation's classrooms are taught by accomplished teachers.

Within this partnership, educators may select from among the following:

Receiving a Score on NBPTS' Take One! Portfolio Entry
Achieving NBCT Status
Serving as NBPTS Assessors
