Program Description
The English as a Second Language PK-12 initial licensure program (optional Master's degree) prepares pre-service teachers with the knowledge, skills, and professional dispositions for meeting the educational needs of culturally and linguistically diverse populations. It is appropriate for candidates seeking a state teaching license in ESL PK-12. Students may also earn a
M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in English as a Second Language (PK-12),
Graduate Certificate in English as a Second Language with Special Education, or a
Certificate in English as a Second Language.
