Professional Development Schools (PDS) Year Long Internship Program
The newly re-designed PDS program begins each fall term. Licensure and Masters in Curriculum and Instruction is completed in six consecutive academic terms (including summers). Students complete a total of 39 credit hours. Students attend two late-afternoon/evening courses and participate in up to 30 clock hours of field experience the first two terms. The summer sessions are on a compacted schedule and may require field experience and course work during the school day. During the final fall and spring terms, students must attend daytime classes at Mason and/or work in schools five days a week as part of their internship. Students take one additional course during the final summer to complete their Master's requirements.
