Professional Development Schools (PDS) Year Long Internship Cohort
The PDS two semester internship cohort begins each fall and licensure and MEd are completed in six consecutive academic terms. During the first fall and spring terms students will participate in up to 30 clock hours of field experience and take two late-afternoon or evening courses. The summer term is compacted and requires field experiences and course work during the school day. During the following two terms, students must attend day-time classes and/or work in schools five days a week. The final summer term students must take one course to complete the cohort model. Initial Licensure and MEd Program—39 credits
- Field Experiences—Almost all course work has associated field experience that must be completed during the school day in a George Mason partnership school.
