Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education offers program options that can lead to a Master's degree in education, with the potential for Virginia licensure in Early Childhood Education (Pre K-Grade 3) and Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-Five years). Additionally, the Unified Transformative Early Education Model (UTEEM) program leads to a Master's degree in education and triple teacher licensure in Early Childhood Education (Pre K-Grade 3), Early Childhood Special Education (Birth - Five Years), and English as a Second Language (PK -12th grade).

The Minor in Early Childhood Education of Diverse Learners is designed to provide undergraduate students with background knowledge. Completion of the minor will partially fulfill requirements for licensure in early childhood special education in Virginia.
