Program Information

The ASTL program provides experienced teachers and other educators with three options. Educators with or without a master's degree may apply for:

the entire master's degree program core and concentration area
an 18- to 21-credit graduate certificate program for advanced study in a particular area
a 12-credit graduate certificate in the NBPTS preparation core for advanced study in teacher leadership or applying for NBPTS certification

Program Options

Master's Degree (30-33 credits) with a Concentration of Choice Requires 12 credits of core courses in addition to a concentration in one of the following:

M.Ed. — Curriculum and Instruction - Concentration: Gifted Child Education AGCE (Cohort Only), (30-33 credit hours)
M.Ed. — Curriculum and Instruction - Concentration: History (AHIS), (30-33 credit hours)
