Amy Cavazos is IET's office assistant on the Arlington campus. She performs various administrative tasks to assist faculty and students doing the work of IET. Formally, she has served in administrative capacities such as an assistant to a blind attorney, an initial point-of-contact for a homeless prevention program, and an office assistant for social workers providing services to at-risk youth. She is also a professional musician and private teacher with an active studio business. As a private teacher she is interested in the learning process from all levels of development because exposure to teaching theories and techniques enhances communication skills in any situation.

Mimi Fittipaldi is the Educational Support Specialist for IET. She works on the Prince William campus. She came to IET in December 2005 from GMU's Center for Health Policy, Research, and Ethics, where she was a Marketing/Public Relations Specialist. Mimi has worked in the field of higher education for over ten years. It was her enjoyment for working on a college campus that lead her to GMU when she moved to the Washington, D.C. area three years ago from Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta she worked as the campus photographer in the Office of University Relations for Kennesaw State University. Her love of photography continues, and she contributes to IET by taking photos whenever necessary. Mostly Mimi is a person who likes to make a positive impact, and working in IET allows her to do that. Mimi has a BA degree from Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, GA.

Stacy Maier has been the Recruitment Coordinator for IET since 2002. In that role, she tells the IET Story to prospective students and also supports them through the application process. Stacy has been a member of the IET community since 1996 when she herself was enrolled as a student in the program. With her IET degree in hand, she assisted the faculty by conducting teacher research and weaving technology into the curriculum. Stacy was a classroom teacher for eight years in Manassas City Schools.

Ruth Potter is IET's Administrative Manager. She has been an employee at George Mason University since July 1999. Prior to her work at the University she was a stay at home Mom who's greatest joy was raising her two children. During this time she enjoyed studying music, teaching word processing courses at a business institute, substitute teaching, and teaching private piano lessons in her home. Her daughter Erica is a fourth grade teacher and her son Brian is a musician and student at James Madison University studying in the College of Business CIS program. Mrs. Potter enjoys her work in IET assisting students with administrative needs throughout their Master's program.
