FAST TRAIN Students Awarded Scholarships
Shuruq Fillo and Joy Watson were awarded the Dr. Marjory F. Brown-Azarowicz Endowed Scholarship in Education. Both students are pursuing an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in English as a Second Language. Joy is currently teaching at Black Forest Academy in Germany and Sharuq is teaching at the Vietnam American International School. This scholarship is awarded annually to graduate education students in honor of Dr. Brown-Azarowicz, former professor emerita in the Graduate School of Education.
The Peace Corps' Master's International program allows students to earn their graduate degree while serving in the Peace Corps, and the Fellows/USA program provides RPCVs with scholarships, academic credit, and stipends to earn an advanced degree after they complete their Peace Corps service.
