Scott BauerDivision Director
Welcome to the Division of Individual and Organizational Transformation. The division is made up of three academic programs and one research center: the Counseling and Development Program, the Early Childhood Education Program, the Education Leadership Program, and the Diversity Research and Action Center.
The term “transformation” accurately captures what we do. To transform something means to change it so fundamentally that something entirely new materializes as a result of the change. Transformation of our schools, communities, and society is needed if we are to make progress on the many challenges we face. Our faculty and staff strive to prepare professionals who understand the complexities of change for individuals, families, communities, schools, and other organizations, and who are committed, as we are, to serving as change agents and enriching the education and well-being of those we serve.
Gandhi also said, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” We invite you to learn about our master's, licensure, certificate, and doctoral program offerings; our research; and our service to the college, university, and community. And we invite you to join us as transformational leaders.
