Director of the Center for Education Policy (CEP)

Penelope M. Earley is the director of the Center for Education Policy. Professor Earley earned her doctorate from Virginia Tech and has previously taught politics of education and public policy for the University of Virginia. She came to George Mason University in 2002 from a senior position at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education where she was Vice President for federal and state governmental relations, issue analysis, policy studies, and public relations. She has authored various issue briefs and journal articles as well as book chapters for the Politics of Education Yearbook, Handbook of Research on Teacher Education, and Developing Language Teachers for a Changing World.
